Here you are in Südpark, a place with a rich history. Once the Erfurt Südfriedhof, this park emerged after the cemetery closed in 1978. Now, it's a peaceful retreat in the historic Löbervorstadt. Look around and you'll see trees that are over a hundred years old, standing tall and proud. There are two memorials here, reminding us of its past as a cemetery. Despite urban development to the north and south, the park has retained its tranquil character. Just to the west, about 279 meters away, you'll find the Steigerwaldstadion, another hub of activity and relaxation.
