The Markgrafentheater in Erlangen, built in 1719, is a remarkable example of Baroque architecture. Initially serving as a university theater from 1818, it became a municipal theater in 1838. Its core structure features a plastered solid construction with a hipped roof and support pillars. Significant renovations took place in 1891/92, 1907, and 1957-59.
