Kriegenbrunn Lock, part of the Rhine-Main-Danube Canal, was constructed from 1966 to 1970 and opened in 1972. Featuring a drop of 18.3 meters, it functions as a remote control center for several regional locks. A new lock is scheduled to be built from 2024 to 2032 to replace the deteriorating structure.
