The Catholic parish church of St. Bonifaz in Erlangen, constructed in 1927/28, stands as a remarkable example of expressionist architecture and an important architectural monument of the 1920s. Designed by Fritz Fuchsenberger, it belongs to the Archdiocese of Bamberg and is the second oldest post-Reformation Catholic church in the city.

As you look at the church’s façade, you’ll notice a striking example of expressionist architecture. Designed by Fritz Fuchsenberger in 1927/28, this is the second oldest post-Reformation Catholic church in Erlangen, part of the Archdiocese of Bamberg. It's recognized as an architectural heritage monument in Bavaria, representing the distinctive style of the 1920s. Notice the sharp lines and bold shapes typical of the expressionist design.
