Guided Story
Feel that gentle breeze coming off the Baldeneysee? Look to your left and see the shimmering water under the sunlight. This bridge you're on was once part of the Ruhrtalbahn. Can you imagine the steam trains chugging over these tracks back in the day? Now, it's a haven for cyclists and walkers. To your right, you'll find the Heisinger Bogen bird sanctuary, a perfect spot to watch birds in their natural habitat. And just behind you, a bit farther, is the old Kupferdreh train station. It's a piece of rail history, bridging the past to the present.
