Erected in 1934 during the Nazi era, the Ruhrkämpfer Memorial in Essen's Horst district commemorates the Ruhr struggles. It is located in a wooded area near the northern shore of the Ruhr, approximately 100 meters southeast of Haus Horst. In 1985, it was rededicated as a memorial.
