Schloß Schellenberg, an architectural heritage monument in North Rhine-Westphalia, is situated on a wooded hill in the Essen district of Rellinghausen. From 1452 to 1993, it was owned by the Barons of Vittinghoff called Schell zu Schellenberg and served as their residence until 1909. The castle was first documented in the year 1313.
