Börneplatz in Frankfurt, initially known as Judenmarkt, was central to the city's Jewish community. The Börneplatz Synagogue stood at its northeastern corner until 1938. Despite several renamings and the synagogue's destruction, the site is now commemorated by the Memorial Neuer Börneplatz. In 1996, the square was rededicated as part of the memorial.
