Built in 1906 by Ludwig Neher in the Baroque Revival style, the Jügelhaus served as the main building of Goethe University Frankfurt until 2012. After World War II, it was remodeled by Ferdinand Kramer and now houses research facilities for the Senckenberg Society for Nature Research. It underwent extensive renovations from 2014 to 2018.
