Established in 1987, Portikus is a key venue for contemporary art in Frankfurt. Initially housed behind the neoclassical façade of the Old City Library, the exhibition space has been located on the river island near the Old Bridge since 2006. Portikus features works by internationally acclaimed artists and rising talents, closely linked with the Städelschule.
