Station 2 Wäldchestag commemorates a unique Frankfurt folk festival held annually on the Tuesday after Pentecost at the Oberforsthaus in the City Forest. Traditionally, shops closed in the afternoon, giving locals half a day off. It became known as Frankfurt's national holiday among the people.
