The Willemer House, a neoclassical garden house from the early 19th century, is famed for hosting Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and Marianne von Willemer in 1814. Originally built around 1810, it was destroyed in World War II and reconstructed between 1962 and 1964. Now, it houses a public Goethe memorial, recognized as one of Frankfurt's most important by the Freies Deutsches Hochstift.
