As you stand here, take a moment to admire the baroque architecture of the Heilig-Geist Church, crafted by Andrea Gallasini between 1729 and 1733. This church was built on the site of its Gothic predecessor from the 13th century. Look at the high altar, dedicated to the Holy Spirit. On either side, the altars honor Saint Joseph and Saint Margaret of Antioch. Originally, this was a gathering place for the poor who lived in the adjoining hospital.
