Originally known as the Kaiser Wilhelm Thurm, it was built during the heyday of the German Empire. Now glance to your left, where the Gera Zoo is nestled among lush greenery. As you climb the steps of the tower, you might hear echoes of the past—stories of people who stood here, marveling at the sunset. And as the sun dips below the horizon, it bathes the landscape in a golden light that gently embraces the history and nature of this region.
