Görlitzer Oldtimer Parkeisenbahn
Experience History on Rails for All Ages
Did you know?
The railway was originally built as a pioneer railway in 1976.
Guided Story
Imagine the sound of the very first German trains. Listen closely, can you hear the faint chugging of ancient locomotives? The Görlitzer Oldtimer Parkeisenbahn is your ticket to a journey back in time. Look to your right, there's a replica steam locomotive that feels like a genuine piece of 1835. The trains here are one-of-a-kind, specially designed to look like the Ludwig Railway, which once ran between Nuremberg and Fürth. If you glance east, you'll spot the Weinberg Park, a lovely place to relax after your ride. And for another great view, the Weinbergturm is just a short walk south. This lovingly crafted miniature railway not only lights up the eyes of young visitors but also rekindles that childlike joy in adults.
