Known as the Neuer Botanischer Garten, the Experimental Botanical Garden spans 36 hectares in the Lutter Valley, offering space for ecological field experiments. Half of the area is cultivated, with the rest featuring forests, hedges, and meadows. Founded in 1970, it plays a key role within the University of Göttingen.
