The Göttingen 7 plaque honors the seven professors from the University of Göttingen who, in 1837, protested the annulment of the liberal constitution in the Kingdom of Hanover. This courageous act resulted in their dismissal and the expulsion of three members. Jacob Grimm, one of the famous Brothers Grimm, was among them.
