Once the collegiate church of the Imperial Palace of Goslar, Goslar Cathedral was constructed between 1040 and 1050 in the Romanesque style. While the church was demolished between 1819 and 1822, the northern vestibule remains to this day. Architect Eduard August Emil Mühlenpfordt influenced its original design.
