Guided Story
Can you hear the gentle rustling of the leaves from the nearby Kurpark to your northwest? This very sound is what inspires the exhibits here at the HarzWaldHaus. As you wander through, keep an eye out for the majestic owl perched on its branch. Surprisingly, the museum also houses an impressive collection of minerals sourced from the Harz region. Look up and you'll see a model of the Harz mountains, showcasing the region's fascinating geology. Did you know that lynxes once roamed these forests? You might even spot their traces in the interactive exhibits here. And if you're up for it, head over to the Treetop Walkway Harz to the southeast, for a unique view of nature.
