Guided Story
Feel that breeze rustling through the ruins? Imagine this place bustling with hymns and prayers. To your right, where only fragments remain now, stood a magnificent church founded by Emperor Conrad II in the 11th century. This was once a hub of power and faith. Behind you, on the Georgenberg, the Augustinian Canons would gaze out over the old town of Goslar. Their chants were a daily soundtrack for the inhabitants. As you stand here, picture the bells that once rang from these stones. Just a bit further south, you can see the Neuwerk Church, which has withstood the test of time. Let the ancient stones speak to you and let your imagination run wild.
