The Volkspark in Halle (Saale) was established in 1906 by the SPD as a community house and inaugurated on July 13, 1907. Designed by Albert and Ernst Heinrich Giese, it is one of the largest public houses built in central Germany before 1914. Today, it serves as a gallery for the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design.
