Guided Story
Can you hear the rustling of leaves above you? That's the wind weaving through the tall trees of the Alter Elbpark. If you look east, you'll spot the imposing Bismarck Monument, crafted by Hugo Lederer back in 1906. It stands as a reminder of a time when Hamburg was surrounded by mighty fortifications. Turn around and gaze towards the Stintfang hill. From here, you have a fantastic view of the Landungsbrücken and the bustling harbor. In spring, when everything is in bloom, or in autumn, when the leaves turn warm shades, the park becomes a serene retreat in the heart of the city. You might even catch the distant calls of seagulls flying over the harbor.
