Designed by Johann Friedrich Höger, the Chilehaus in Hamburg's Kontorhaus District is a prime example of Brick Expressionism. Constructed from 1922 to 1924, it features a ship's bow-like tip and covers a gross floor area of 36,000 square meters. As one of Hamburg's first skyscrapers, it is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Speicherstadt and Kontorhaus District.
