The Evangelical Reformed Church in Hanover is commemorated by a plaque that marks the original church from 1705, built with the support of Electress Sophie. The current structure was constructed by Hubert Stier between 1896 and 1898 and was largely destroyed during World War II. It was rebuilt by Dieter Osterlen between 1956 and 1960.
