The Böckingen Roman Fort was an important military camp established around 85/90 AD. It was responsible for monitoring and securing the Neckar-Odenwald Limes and is now recognized as a cultural heritage monument in the Böckingen district of Heilbronn. The garrison was strategically located by the road to Neckargartach.
