Designed by Leo von Klenze, the Reduit Tilly is the heart of the Ingolstadt Fortress on the southern bank of the Danube. Constructed between 1828 and 1841, this semicircular neoclassical structure was intended to house artillery and troops, providing refuge to the Bavarian royal family in case of invasion. It is flanked by the Triva and Baur towers, showcasing 19th-century military architecture.
