Kempten's Stadtpark is a centrally located green space created in the 1890s. It was designed to unite the former imperial and collegiate towns, which had merged in 1818. Recognized as a cultural heritage monument in Germany, it formed part of the city's development plan under Mayor Adolf Horchler.
