Am Ginsterpfad is a 21-hectare nature reserve transformed from a former gravel extraction site. Nestled between the Cologne districts of Weidenpesch, Longerich, and Mauenheim, it is home to around 70 species of flora and fauna and has been protected since 1991. A viewing point offers the chance to appreciate the preserved wildlife without entering the area.
