CCAA Roemische Stadtmauer

The CCAA Roman City Wall in Cologne was built by the Romans between the late 1st and 3rd centuries to protect the square Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium. The Bottmühle, part of this historic fortification, was once a segment of the medieval defense line. Over the centuries, the wall underwent several expansions and reconstructions, with the last being the Prussian fortress ring from 1815 onwards.
