You're standing before the former parish church of St. Bartholomäus, a notable architectural heritage site in North Rhine-Westphalia. Since 2014, it has served as a columbarium, where the ashes of the departed rest in peace within its walls. This unique role makes it the first and only of its kind in the Archdiocese of Cologne. Notice the clean lines and subtle elegance of its architecture, reflecting the church's history and transformation. Just 84 meters to the east, you might catch sight of Helmholtzplatz. The church is maintained by the Catholic parish of the Holy Rochus, Magi, and Bartholomäus, ensuring its legacy and remembrance endure.
