Look to your left, and you'll find an impressive collection of amulets. These tiny objects were worn by ancient Egyptians to seek the protection of their gods. Did you know they were often placed in tombs to safeguard the deceased in the afterlife? And behind you, in the display, you might see one of the oldest mummies in the collection. These people were masters of preservation long before the days of refrigerators. The atmosphere here brings the mysteries of the ancient world right to Leipzig.
