Once a popular sports and leisure venue, the Bowlingtreff in Leipzig has been under monument protection since its construction in 1987. Built in a former electrical converter plant, the building showcases the postmodern style of the late GDR. The site is set to become the new home of the Natural History Museum in 2024.
