Trafohäuschen Mölkau

You're standing before the Mölkau transformer house, a significant remnant of this area's early electrical infrastructure. Built around 1910, it reflects a time when Mölkau was still an independent community and electricity was a novel development. The local heritage and cultural association takes care of preserving this historic monument. If you turn around and look about 275 meters to the east, you'll spot Apelstein 39, another piece of local history. And approximately 800 meters northwest lies Volkshain Stünz, a popular park in the eastern part of Leipzig. Here, the past meets the vibrant present.
