The Magdeburger Reiter, crafted around 1240 in the younger Magdeburg workshop, stands as an important life-sized equestrian statue of medieval sculpture. This German cultural heritage monument, made from fine-grained sandstone, is complemented by two maidens. A replica stands on the Alter Markt, while the original can be viewed in the Kaiser Otto Hall at the Cultural History Museum of Magdeburg.
