The Old Jewish Cemetery, also known as Judensand, is the oldest known burial site of the Jewish community in Mainz and is considered the oldest Jewish cemetery in Europe alongside the Holy Sand in Worms. Since July 27, 2021, it has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage as part of the Jewish cultural sites of the SchUM cities Speyer, Worms, and Mainz.
