Guided Story
Feel the grainy sand beneath your feet? This place is like stepping back in time, a remnant from the last Ice Age. Look to your left, and you'll notice the open sandy patches. These landscapes were formed when the Rhine shifted its course, depositing sand. Imagine vast dunes here once shaping the scene. Behind you, in the distance, you might hear the hum of the A 643 highway cutting through the area. But right here, amidst this sandy realm, there's a unique silence. Keep an eye out for the rare Sand Silver Thistle, a plant thriving here that you won't find easily elsewhere in Germany.
