Guided Story
Imagine standing at a spot that once carried life-giving water to the Roman city of Mainz. Look around, these stones are the remnants of an ancient aqueduct. Picture how, nearly 2000 years ago, water flowed through here to sustain the city's inhabitants. To your left, the nearby St. Achatius Church has stood through centuries, witnessing these transformations. Behind you, slightly further away, lies the Jewish Cemetery, another silent witness to history. It's amazing to think about how people managed to supply water over such distances back then, a true feat of engineering. These stones are not just silent witnesses of the past, but a vibrant part of our present culture.
