Established in 1925 and opened in 1935, the Coleman Barracks are a historic U.S. military base with an airfield located north of Mannheim. It remains the last active site used by U.S. forces in the disbanded Mannheim garrison. In 2015, the approximately 220-hectare area stored around 1200 military vehicles, including 250 tanks.
