Built in 1927, the Kahlenberg Hydroelectric Power Station is an architectural heritage monument in North Rhine-Westphalia. Located in the Altstadt I district of Mülheim an der Ruhr, it is situated about 13 kilometers from where the Ruhr meets the Rhine. Operated by the Rheinisch-Westfälischen Wasserwerksgesellschaft, the station is nestled between Dohne Island and the lock island of the Ruhr lock Mülheim.
