Opened on May 1, 1871, Munich South Station is located in the western part of the Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt district. Situated between the Munich–Rosenheim and Munich-Laim–Munich South lines, it has been used for freight transport since 1985. From 2025, it will operate as a car train terminal.
