Guided Story
Look up at that stunning pagoda towering above you. That's the Chinese Tower, a true gem in the Englischer Garten. Can you imagine that it's been standing here for more than 230 years? Originally built as an observation deck, it offers a glimpse into the past with its intricate wooden craftsmanship. During World War II, it was destroyed, but like a phoenix, it rose again in 1952. Listen closely, and you might hear the brass band playing—it’s a beloved tradition here. If you turn around, you might catch a glimpse of the Rumfordschlössl, another historical treasure in the park.
