The DRF Luftrettung Station Munich houses the intensive care helicopter 'Christoph München', which was the first of its kind in Germany, launched in 1990. Stationed at the Großhadern Clinic of the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, it is one of four such helicopters in Bavaria. Operations are coordinated by the Integrated Rescue Control Center Munich.
