The Friedensengel, constructed between 1896 and 1899, stands above the Luitpoldterrasse in Munich's Maximiliansanlagen. At 38 meters tall, it features a Greek temple, a Corinthian column, and a gilded Nike, affectionately known as the Angel of Peace. This structure was commissioned by Prince Regent Luitpold to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Peace of Frankfurt.
