A short walk away is the Valentin-Karlstadt-Musäum, a whimsical tribute to the famous Munich comedian Karl Valentin. If you look north, you'll spot remnants of the ancient city wall that once encircled the old town. This area is a living history book, telling the story of Munich's evolution from a medieval town to a modern metropolis.
