You are standing before a significant part of Munich's history. The Marianum was built in 1901 as a training home. Damaged during the war, it was later rebuilt and now serves as a residence for people with disabilities. Its architecture is protected as a heritage monument. In 2012, a partial renovation was carried out by the architect www.studiodimonaco.de. If you look around, you’ll see the Wittelsbacher Bridge to the northwest. It's a short walk away and offers a lovely view of the Isar River.
