Built between 1715 and 1717 by Joseph Effner, Schloss Fürstenried in Munich showcases baroque architecture. Initially a hunting lodge for Elector Max Emanuel, it housed King Otto from 1883 to 1916. Since 1925, it has served as a retreat house for the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising.
