Take a look around and you'll notice the dark moss-covered pines that give Schwarzhölzl its name. This protected fen forest spans an impressive 79.5 hectares in the Feldmoching district. Its unique dark appearance comes from these pines, making it a special place. You're standing in a remnant of the eastern Dachauer Moos, a natural area protected since 1994. Besides the mossy pines, the area includes wet meadows and a birch moor forest. To the east, you’re not far from the Oberschleißheim Regatta Course.
