St. Jakob am Anger, Munich's oldest surviving monastery, houses the only complete church construction in the historic old town since World War II. Designed by Friedrich Haindl in 1957, the church is a protected architectural monument operated by the Poor School Sisters of Our Lady. Notable is the saint statue at St.-Jakobs-Platz.
