Guided Story
Feel the gentle breeze coming off the Isar as you stand here? Look up and take in the striking towers of St. Lukas, soaring into the sky. Architect Albert Schmidt designed this church to almost touch the heavens. It's the only surviving Protestant church in Munich's city center from before World War I. Just imagine the congregation stepping in here over a century ago, filled with anticipation and reverence. Now, if you turn around, you can see the Mariannenbrücke, where you'll get a stunning view of the church and the flowing Isar.
