You're standing before Milestone 108, a sandstone marker that’s part of the historic Ludwig Canal. The weathered inscription on the stone speaks of an era when this canal was a vital waterway. Though the words are faded, the stone tells tales of trade and transport, a time when barges were pulled along this very path. Just a short walk north, about 200 meters, you’ll find the canal itself. It’s a monument to a bygone era, keeping history alive.
